Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the EdLib mobile application, admin dashboard and related services (the “Service”), provided by EdLib. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility & accounts

The Service is intended for teachers and educational staff, and for students invited by their teacher. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for all activity under your account. New teacher accounts are reviewed and must be approved by an administrator before they can be used, which helps ensure only legitimate educators gain access to student records. We may decline or revoke approval at our discretion.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only through an account issued to you by your teacher or school.

Acceptable use

• Use the Service only for lawful, educational purposes.
• Only record student information you are authorised to process, and handle it responsibly and confidentially.
• Do not upload unlawful, harmful, harassing or infringing content, and do not use the Service to bully or endanger a child.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the Service, gain unauthorised access to it or to another user’s account, scrape it, or circumvent its security or rate limits.
• Do not share your account credentials, or use another person’s account.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content and records you create. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit and process that content solely to operate and support the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the data you enter, including having a valid legal basis for any student data you record.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. The Service includes automated and manual moderation of uploaded content; that moderation is a safety measure and is not a guarantee that all objectionable content will be detected. You can report objectionable content or abusive users to arda3105ozcan@gmail.com, and we will review reports and act on them, including removing content and terminating accounts, within 24 hours of receiving a report.

Account termination & deletion

You may delete your account at any time in the app: teachers via Settings → Delete account, students via Profile → Delete account. See our account deletion page if you cannot access the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that put student data at risk, or where required by law.

Service availability & changes

We may add, change or discontinue features. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may suspend it for maintenance or to protect its security or integrity.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. It is not a substitute for your own statutory record-keeping obligations, and you remain responsible for maintaining any records your school or the law requires.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date above always shows the current version. We will give notice of material changes in the app or by other appropriate means, and continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
