Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your EdLib account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to do it and what happens to your data afterwards.

Deleting from inside the app

The fastest way is directly in the app:

Teachers: open Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Students: open Profile, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm when prompted. You are signed out immediately.

Requesting deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email arda3105ozcan@gmail.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before we proceed, so that nobody else can delete your data. We will action verified requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

Once deletion is processed, your account is deactivated immediately: you can no longer sign in, and all active sessions are revoked. The following are then permanently erased within 30 days:

Your account and sign-in credentials
Your profile information (name, email address, and, for teachers, city and district)
Content you created in the app, and your notifications

What may be retained

Some data is kept after deletion, either because the law requires it or because it no longer identifies you:

Records we are legally required to keep, retained only for as long as the applicable law requires.
Aggregated or anonymised statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
Content shared into a class that other users still rely on may be retained in de-identified form, with your name removed.
Routine backups, which are overwritten on our standard backup cycle.

Deleting a student’s account

Students join classes through a teacher’s access code. If you are a parent or guardian and want a student’s account removed, contact the student’s teacher or school, or email us at the address above and we will help.
